| PDP slams PWD, PMGSY for discrimination in sanctioning projects | | |

Mendhar, Oct 2: Youth Wing of Peoples Democratic Party has alleged that there was great discrimination in clearance of pending works of PWD and Roads and Building, which were still lingering on for want of funds for completion in constituency.
According to press release, Nadeem Khan said that the connecting roads of most of the villages like Suran-Mendhar, Behra Salwaha under PWD and R&B Poonch, were in worst conditions.
He further said that the road which was just 25 km in length and most busy road were in urgent need of repairs and black topping where an amount of Rs. 1.5 crore was required.
He further said that the links roads connecting villages like Harni Nar where small culverts and bridges were not constructed despite availability of funds. "Similar is the case of Harni BG bridge, where pillars of bridge were constructed four years ago by the contractor but still it is waiting for completion", he said.
Nadeem urged the Union government to immediately intervene in these important works of Mendhar tehsil of district Poonch. |
