| Dis- engaged CL workers of BDA seek reinstatement | | | Early Times Report
Bhaderwah, Oct 2: Dis-engaged casual workers of Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA) have appealed to the state government to immediately revoke the order regarding disengagement of CL workers /daily rated workers within days. According to press release, while briefing the media, Rajesh Kotwal, Shokat Ali Batt, Mohammad Rafi Wani, Arun Kumar, Syeed Ahmed Dar, Shanshah Batt, Tariq Wasim and others disengaged CL workers leaders of BDA said they were working in BDA in various capacities as daily rated workers at very low rates from the last so many years. "Now CEO of the Authority was adopting pick and choose policy as firstly he disengaged 90 workers but after that engaged some workers again and continued the order of disengaging of 35 poor workers which is sheer injustice in this welfare state and demanded reinstatement of the terminated workers", they said. They further said that it was unfortunate that the BDA after employing them had issued an order to disengage them from the services without any reason on the occasion of Eid and Navratra festival. They urged upon the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Opposition leader in Lok Sabha Gulam Nabi Azad and Minister For Tourism Gulam Hussain Mir to personally look into the matter and reengaged all disengaged CL workers as soon as possible for their livelihood. They also warned that if the BDA did not reverse its order, they would launch a massive agitation included on Eid day. |
