Jammu, Oct 2: Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) today felicitated 20 young artists for their excellence in performing arts. According to press release, the felicitation function was held at the Auditorium of College for Women, Gandhi Nagar Jammu and the occasion was the showcasing of a unique programme 'Young Tarang'. The felicitations were done by Regional Director of ICCR Jammu, Padamshree Balwant Thakur. Addressing the enthusiastic jam-packed audience, the Regional Director of ICCR Jammu said that through this programme, the excellence and outstanding achievement amongst young performers is being given recognition by Indian Council for Council for Cultural Relations so others also aspire and strive to achieve that. The excellence in younger generation of artists is not only required brought in the spotlight but also be given the encouragement, guidance and patronage so they ably scale the ultimate heights in the field of arts. On the occasion he expressed his heartiest gratitude to the Principal of the college Professor Kiran Bakshi for supporting ICCR in its endeavors and also initiating and implementing new ideas for promoting young excellence. Twenty artists who were facilitated included Sipaj Jain, Namrata Chib, Damini Baloria, Vrinda Bakshi, Sameeta Rana, Puneet Kaur, Surbhi Chalotra, Ayushi Chowdhary, Iqra Nisar, Romi Choudhary, Vrinda Sharma, Aradhana Sharma, Diksha Kumari, Pallvi Kumari, Richa Sharma, Megha Gupta, Dilprit Kaur, Sunakshi Sharma, Guneet Kaur and Navamani Hans. |
