HC stays inquiry against CCB Chairman, Board of Directors

Jammu, Oct 2: In a petition filed by Dinesh Gupta, Chairman of Citizen's Cooperative Bank and others, seeking quashment of order No 12-B&F of 2013 dated July 23, 2013, passed by Registrar Cooperative Societies whereby Registrar Cooperative Societies appointed Vikas Verma, District Audit Officer Cooperative Societies, Jammu, to conduct an inquiry into the complaint sent by Minister of Cooperative J&K, high court judge Tashi Rabstan issued notice to Commissioner/Secretary Cooperative Department, Registrar Cooperative Societies J&K, the inquiry officer and cooperatives minister Manohar Lal Sharma, returnable within four weeks. Justice Rabstan, after hearing the two sides, ordered that subject to objections from other side and till next date before the bench, operation of impugned order NO 12-B&F of 2013 dated July 23, 2013 passed by Registrar Cooperative Societies shall stay.
