| Minor among 2 commit suicide | | | Jammu, Oct 2: Two persons including a minor girl committed suicide by hanging themselves at their respective places in Jammu, police sources said.
Police sources said a 14 year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Patta Paloura falling under the jurisdiction of Domana Police Station.
"The deceased has been identified as Tania Chib daughter of Late Ram Singh of Patta Palloura, sources said. Quoting family members, Police sources said that Tania had some arguments with her brother which had upset her severely.
Meanwhile, a 60 year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging self at his residence in Maheshpura. The deceased has been identified as Sat Pal son of Hansu Ram of Maheshpura.
Police sources said that family members of the deceased found him hanging this morning and immediately shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) where he was declared as brought dead. Police after legal formalities handed over both the bodies to their family members for last rites. Police have also registered cases to ascertain exact reasons behind such an extreme step at concerned police stations. |
