Early Times Report samba, Oct 2: Indian Reserve Police 17th Bn organized a Cleanliness and awareness drive today at village Daboh, Samba in collaboration with civilians of the area under the commandant of Roop Raj Bhagat-SSP, Commandant IRP 17th Bn while joining hands with "Swachh Bharat" campaign to realize Mahatma Gandhi's dream of 'Clean India' on the call given by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking on the occasion, Roop Raj Bhagat-SSP, Commandant IRP 17th Bn said that the mission of this drive is aimed at a joint venture and sustained effort to clean our homes, offices, , streets, roads, mohalas, business establishments, schools, colleges, universities and all other public places with a pledge to keep them clean all the time which has also a great significance from religious point of view. He also stressed the need for inculcating the sense of cleanliness in all members of the society especially children who are the future of nation so that they are made aware about the importance of clean atmosphere and hygiene for better India and better tomorrow. "Every individual's contribution will give society ,a significant transition", he added. In addition to civilians of the area, Sudershan Kumar Bakshi-SP, Dy. Commandant IRP 17th Bn. Bharat Bushan Sharma, Dy.S.P. Adjutant IRP 17th Bn. and Sh. Nawaz Ahmad, Dy.S.P. Quarter Master IRP 17 Bn. were also present in the drive. Moreover a Cleanliness drive was also launched at all Coy Headquarters and their places of deployment which include Police, Headquarter Gulshan Ground Jammu, Channi Himmat, SIDCO Samba and Railway Track from Tarore Bridge to Londi Morh. |
