Kathua, Oct 7: Carrying on the objective of uplift of student talent, Tagore Vidyarthi Vikas Sanstha organized 'TAGORE GOURAV AWARD-5' in the auditorium of Government Degree College Kathua, on Sunday. ADDC Nariender Singh Bali grace the occasion as Chief Guest whereas, SSP Mohan Lal and CEO Thuru Ram Magotra remains present as Guest of Honor. The guests inaugurated the function with the traditional lightening of lamp accompanied by Sanjay Sehgal President of organization. Subash Chander Sharma, Senior Vice-President of the organization in his welcome address highlighted the motto, policies and future course of action. He added that 'Tagore Gourav Awards' are distributed among the meritorious students of District Kathua in the memory of Late Sardari Lal Gupta, a renowned educationist. "This year organization is going to award thirty position holder students of class Tenth, three of class 10+2, five to position holders of graduation session 2013-14", adding that besides this, organization would honor the students selected through JKCET, IIT exams for engineering and medical course. Above all, during the function organization also presented awards for outstanding performance to Mahima Sharma, Asha Sharma, Deepika Gupta, Dr Anam Gupta, Ganga Sharma and Anjali Jasrotia. SSP Mohan Lal while addressing the gathering appreciated the activities and steps initiated by organization. "Organization is doing great job by adopting poor students and providing them free-education and other facilities", SSP added. CEO Thuru Ram Magotra, impressed by the activities of organization having vital role in imparting education to the students and encouraging them at every step so that they could achieve their goal. |
