| People want concrete action on the ground to destroy Pak | | War-like situation on LoC, IB | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 7: Pakistan is willfully and deliberately provoking retaliation from the Indian side so that it could internationalize the so-called Kashmir issue. It is violating the International Border from Kathua to Akhnoor and it is breaching LoC from Rajouri to Poonch to Tangdhar to Gulmarg and so on. It has created a war-like situation both on the IB and the LoC. Its Army of terrorists and paramilitaries - inhuman Rangers - plus dreaded Lashkar operatives in Army uniform, are not only targeting the BSF and Army posts but also targeting the civilian areas. They are using deadly and sophisticated weapons to cause as much damage to India as possible. During the past five days, Pakistan has violated the ceasefire and IB more than a dozen time, shelled many villages, fired mortars, killed more than six innocent civilians, including women, injured more than three dozens others, caused displacement of population, forced the people living near the IB and LoC to spend their days and nights in the bunkers and has created a sense of insecurity among the people in Kathua, Samba, Jammu, Rajouri and Poonch districts. Today, hundreds of affected families migrated to safer places to save their lives.
The Union Home Minister and Defence Minister have reacted to these ceasefire violations and the resultant deaths, injuries and displacement of population. They have condemned in one voice the Pakistani evil machinations. The Home Minister has directed the paramilitaries not to show white flag, but to respond in an appropriate manner, saying a new regime is in place in New Delhi, which means business and not prepared to tolerate anything non-sense from Pakistan. He has warned Pakistan to behave failing which New Delhi will act and produce a moral effect. The Defence Minister has also echoed the same view and said that the necessary orders have been issued to the Army and the security forces to take all the actions needed to be taken. He has also warned Pakistan that the manner in which Pakistan is violating ceasefire and killing and maiming our innocent civilians would further embitter the already rather bitter relations between the two countries.
Our Army Commanders and Director General of BSF and other senior BSF officials have also left none in any doubt that the Indian war machine is not only in place but fully prepared to face any eventuality and defeat the enemy's move. They have rightly said that our jawans are defending our borders and giving a befitting reply to the Pakistani barbarians. They are doing what is needed to be done to defeat the Pakistani evil machinations.
The response of the administration, the Army and the BSF has been inspiring, but the people of Jammu province in general and affected people in particular want a stringent action against Pakistan. "Decimate Pakistan," they are asking. "It will not change its attitude towards India and its Jammu and Kashmir. Destroy Pakistan once and for all to forge a lasting peace in the region. Destruction of Pakistan is the only alternative available. We are fed up with the Pakistani evil machinations. Pakistan has made our life a veritable hell on earth.
Enough is enough," they are also saying. The truth, in short, is that they are seething with anger and longing for a situation that secures their lives on a permanent basis. It is hoped that the Government of India would leave no stone unturned to not only expose Pakistan in the eyes of the civilized nations, but would also take direct action against Islamabad. The Government of India has everything to win and nothing to lose by following a courageous policy, as the international community knows who the real culprit is and who is innocent and victim. |
