24 yrs on, adm fails to transfer geography lecturer from GGM Science College Overstaying syndrome among college lecturers 10/7/2014 11:30:06 PM Akshay Azad JAMMU, Oct 7: It could be termed as the inability of Higher Education Department or its surrender before the influential lecturers that for the last 24 years, it has failed to transfer a geography lecturer from GGM Science College here. According to official documents, it has been come to fore that geography lecturer Nirmal Narayan was never touched by department since his joining in 1990. Apart from him, in the list of 12 geography lecturers, nine are overstaying in various colleges of their choice, while 3 lecturers of Geology out of six are overstaying while five lecturers of Electronics out of eight have been overstaying. The other college lecturers in the list are Anjna Kanwal, who was posted in WC Udhampur in 06/2008. She has reportedly been "absent" since long, while Kamlesh Kumari posted at WC Gandhi Nagar has been overstaying for the last six years. Abdul Qayoom Khan posted at GDC Rajouri has been overstaying for the last eight years, while Khadam Hussain has been overstaying at GDC Poonch for the last 10 years. Iftikar Ahmed posted at MAM College has been overstaying for the last 10 years, while Gurdyal, posted at GDC Kathua is overstaying for the last 4 years. Taseen Ahmed posted at GDC Rajouri and Pawan Kumar posted at GDC Kathua have been overstaying for the last five years each. In the list of Geology lecturers, Kuldip Raj Sharma posted at MAM College has been overstaying for the last 11 years, Chanchal Kumar posted at GGM Science college for the last 15 years and Rajesh Kumar posted at GGM Science college is overstaying for the last 5 years in total violation of the transfer policy of state government. Moreover, out of eight lecturers of Electronics, five have been overstaying in violation of transfer policy. These include Rakesh Kumar posted at GGM Science college for the last nine years, Sarika Mahajan posted at MAM College for the last seven years and Rakesh Sharma posted at MAM College for the last six years. While Vipul Saraf posted at GGM Science college has been overstaying for the last four years, Meena Gupta posted at GGM Science college is overstaying for the last five years.
