| Guv for early announcement of exam schedule in flood-hit J&K | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Oct 7 : Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra on Tuesday asked the administration to announce without any delay the revised examination and vacation schedule for educational institutions in the flood affected Valley.
"The Governor advised the Divisional Commissioner (Rohit Kansal) to urgently review the impact of the recent floods on the educational schedules - from school to university level - and have the government's decision about the revised vacation and examination schedules announced without any delay," an official spokesman said. Kansal had called on the Governor to brief him about the estimated losses suffered by people on account of recent floods and the relief, rehabilitation and health and sanitation measures presently underway.
The Governor advised Kansal to direct deputy commissioners and all others concerned to speed up the rehabilitation work to ensure that all those affected by the floods had a shelter before onset of winter. |
