Sham reviews progress, relief, restoration works 10/7/2014 11:07:43 PM UDHAMPUR, Oct 7: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Sharma today reviewed the progress of relief works of Udhampur and restoration of damaged works of PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control Department in Udhampur and Reasi District at conference hall DC office, Udhampur. Sharma get appraisal of the situation that has arisen due to incessant rains resulting in overwhelming flood and landslide particularly in Udhampur and Reasi district. Minister assured all possible help from the Government to the flood victims to overcome the difficulties and help relief and rehabilitation of the affected families. He asked DDC to submit a comprehensive memorandum of losses occurred due to floods/ landslide to the government as soon as possible. Minister directed all concerned officers to submit utilization certificate of respective works to District Development Commissioner, Udhampur for further release of funds for restoration of various schemes in the district. Minister stressed upon the officers of the PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control department to restore all the schemes sub division wise within five days. He asked DDC to personally monitor the progress of restoration works and schemes of PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control department of the Udhampur district.
