JKNPP hunger strike enters sixth day, DKD joins stir | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Oct 7: The ongoing hunger strike launched by Jammu Kashmir National Panther Party entered sixth day here today.On the sixth day, Dogra Kranti Dal (DKD), NGO, extended its support to JKNPP MLA Balwant Mankotia's hunger strike. Speaking on the occasion, Balwant Mankotia appealed people of Udhampur district to garner support in favour of ongoing stir to seek adequate ration, relief, shelter and compensation to flood and rain affected families of Udhampur district. He said day by day he is getting support from the people of Udhampur district. Callous attitude of district administration to deal with situation arisen after devastating floods, forced people to garner support for genuine cause. Govt has approached its leaders by different means to negotiate, but Panthers Party will not let them people down in this hour when they are in urgent need of adequate ration, relief, compensation. Panthers Party will continue this agitation with people support till its logistic conclusion. He added that due to ill will of district administration, rice came from Chattisgarh get rotten and now stinking due to negligent attitude of the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur. |
