Ramban, Oct 7: Chinar Power Project Workers Union has demanded compensation to retrenched workers of Baglihar Hydro Electric Project. According to press release, a meeting of CPPWU was held under its Chairman Joginder Bhandari and was attended by a large number of workers besides prominent citizens of Chanderkote. The leaders of the union demanded final payment of retrenchment compensation in respect of all workers including quantity and supply workers of BHEP. They said nature of work was same and why should not the quantity and supply workers working in Baglihar HE Pproject should not be given final payment of retrenchment compensation after compilation of work of the project. They further said and added that the quantity and supply workers engaged for the execution of the said project have worked hard into the execution of BHEP stage I & II and they should be compensated at par with the daily wagers of the company . Mohd Khalil Tapal General Secretary and CPPWU, unit incharge Sadarat Ali in their speech have appealed all the workers of BHEP to remain united and prepare for getting all the benefits from the executing agency as the company is going to retrench the workers shortly. Those attended the meeting includes Bashir Khan,Mohd Amin Khari ,Tariq Patri,Anil Sharma , Ghualm Hussain Gannie, Javed Ahmed,Sameer Butt, Mohd Ashraf Gannie, Sunil Sharma, Ram Rattan Sharma, Sardar Satpal Singh, Sajjad Sheikh,Shoket Ahanger, Jaffar Hussain, Asgar Hussain , Akhter Hussain, Jaffa Giri, Farooq Ahmed, Nissar Badherwahi, Nissar Lone, Rinku Tandulkar, Hafizullaha Mattoo. |
