Political parties protest against Pak for ceasefire violations | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 7: Various political organizations have criticized the Pakistan for recent ceasefire violations by Pakistan Rangers in various areas of Jammu and Samba district. Expressing concern over the killing of innocent, Kranti Dal(KD) today stages protest demonstration against Pakistan for continuing ceasefire violations at international border. The protesters lambasted India Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government for being soft towards Pakistan, despite the repeated attacks by Pakistan. "When Pakistan is not willing to listen and mend its ways India should give it a strong reply in the same language which it understands", Pritam said adding that such actions by the Pakistan troops on the Border Post were almost regular and the Pak army was not bothering to adhere to the ceasefire agreement. It was dismay that Pakistan Forces' act of aggression deprived a number of families from celebrating the auspicious Eid. Rajinder Bhagat, Vijay Kumar, Akhil Gandotra, Sankul Gupta, Neeraj Dhiman, Tarun Gupta, Amit Menia, Nitin Walia, Anil, Sandeep, Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Rattan, Raju and Chander Kumar were also present on the occasion. : To condemn unprovoked Pak firing from across the International Border in Indian Territory in J&K state, "J&K Anti Terrorism Front" (JKATF) has burnt the Pakistan's national flag during a massive protest demonstration against PAK at Kathua on Tuesday. And JKATF demands the liberation of POK from the clutches of Pakistan and for this JKATF urges PM Narinder Modi to take solid and result-oriented initiative. The protest was held with the open pistol in the hands of president of the JKATF S. Surinder Singh who led the protestors and warned and challenged the Pakistan and insisted it to have a fight face to face. While lambasting at Pak's unprovoked firing at innocent civilians of J&K who got died alleged that this Pak's cowardice act for which it deserves to tackle with iron hands. During the protest, anti Pakistan slogans like Pakistan Murdabad, Pakistan Hai- Hai, and Pakistan Down-Down were raised by the resented protestors. Surinder Singh alleged that firing on Eid shows that Pakistan is a rouged state and den of terrorists whose only aim is to spread violence and disturb the peace and harmony in our country and state. He warns the Pakistan and sent a strong message to Pakistan that it should not try to assess the patience of Indian state that might be disastrous for entire Pakistan. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) activists today staged protest demonstration outside Press Club Jammu, demanding prompt action against Pakistan for repeated ceasefire violations. According to press release, under the chairmanship of Gourav Kapoor a protest was organized and while addressing Kapoor said Central and State government have totally ignored the brave people living on the national and international borders from Kathua to Uri and onwards. He further said in the interest of vote bank these leaders are misleading the sincere nationalist living on the borders and facing daily bullets from the Pakistan Army. The Awami National Conference (ANC) has also condemned Pakistan for repeated ceasefire violations by Pakistan. In a press statement in Jammu, Provincial President, Gian Singh in presence of Youth President, Raj Sharma and District President Jammu, Vijay Magotra said, "War is no solution and both the nations should work on some concrete strategy to end this once for all. Singh has also expressed solidarity with the victims of shelling, from across the border and sought rising of safe shelters for them as agreed to by the Centre years ago. "The Centre should create facilities for the safe lodging of border dwellers in the eventualities like shelling from across the border, Singh added. He also urged upon the Chief Minister to immediately make all the primary health centers fully equipped with staff, equipment, ambulances and life saving drugs so as to handle such situation, moreover, health workers should be deployed 24x7 in every border village. Singh demanded that Government should provide them with the proper shelter for themselves and their cattle/animals during the further incessant firing. Meanwhile, a former police officer, Bhupinder Singh today visited Government Medical Hospital Jammu to meet those injured in Pakistan shelling along International Border. According to press release, Singh, said, "The attack on our people made it quite clear that the Pakistani government has no control on their army. The big question is whether the Pakistani PM can actually control the country's army? For now, it doesn't seem so. It seems that the Pakistani Prime Minister is struggling to show his clout in front of his own army. The Pakistani army is a challenge to Nawaz Sharif. He was twice kicked out of power in 1993 and 1999 by the army. Udhampur Development Council (UDC) has also condemned the ceasefire violation by Pakistan. According to press release, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Anil Padha and presided by Parvesh Parihar. Two minute silence was also observed on the occasion. |
