Modi led Govt adopting soft policy against Pak: Manjit Singh | | | Early Times Report
Vijaypur, Oct 7: Criticizing Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) led NDA Government in Centre for its soft policy against Pakistan, former Minister and senior Congress leader Manjit Singh today accused that Modi led government for adopting soft policies towards Pakistan. After visiting Pak firing affected border villages like Dug, Jerda, SM Pur, Jasso Chak, Kandral etc, Manjit Singh said that the people have been facing brunt of the soft policy towards Pakistan. He also visited Govt Higher Secondary School Ramgarh where affected peoples have taken shelter "The Government has indulged in issuing statements against Pakistan while no concrete step has been taken to resolve the issue," Singh alleged, while criticizing that people on border facing trouble while Government is in slumber. Senior Congress leader said the cease fire violation issue should be resolved through talks and if it is not possible people should be shifted to the safer places. He said that there is lack of drinking water, public convenience and also demanded Government to arrange vehicles for border people so that they can shift swiftly to the safer places. "The prime motive of the Government should be to end stalemate with Pakistan but it has not taken any step instead tension on border has increased," he alleged, while saying that they have also not constructed adequate number of bunkers in the border villages for shelters in case of hostility between India and Pakistan. He further said that there is a need to construct bunkers and allot five marla plots to each family belonging to border villages for the safety. |
