Div Com, IGP Jammu reviews election preparations in Udhampur | | | Early Times Report
udhampur, Nov 24: For the smooth conduct of scheduled Assembly Election in Udhampur, the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Shantmanu accompanied with Inspector General Police (IGP) Jammu, Rajesh Kumar reviewed the election preparedness and security arrangements during a high level meeting held at Office of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur. "The threadbare discussions were held on Security Plan, deployment of zonal, sectoral officers and polling parties, transport plan, number of Model Polling Stations, strong rooms security, arrangements of vehicles for Zonal Magistrates and sectoral Magistrates, dispatch centre& receiving centre arrangements, food and civic amenities, health care, transportation, media allowance, payments etc, spokesperson said. Chairing the high level meeting, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shantmanu directed all the concerned officers that no loopholes should be left, no MCC violations will happen on the polling day and follow all MCC guidelines of ECI. He further directed all the concerned officers to be vigilant and report immediately to your higher officers if any complaint of non-functioning of EVMs would be received during first two to three hours of the start of polling. He also instructed RO's to dispatch the polling parties to far off polling station earlier in time than the others. Inspector General Police (IGP) Jammu, Rajesh Kumar also gave directions to all the police officers to be vigilant at all the nakas and don't allow any suspicious person to enter into the district who can disturb polling process on the polling day. Earlier, District Election Officer, YashaMudgal briefed them with the arrangements already made by the district administration for the smooth conduct of free and fair Assembly elections 2014. |
