| Mendhar clamor for traffic regulation | | | M S Nazki
Poonch, Nov 24: Parking problem has entirely gripped city besides posed a major threat of traffic jams, congestion and even dust pollution at large extent.
Huge encroachment can be seen at Main Chowk, ShaheedhiChowk, Tehsil Chowk and either sides of the Mendhar Main Bazaar to Saira market road main Bazar and HuanumanMandirChowk due to the parking of a large number of vehicles. The surprisingly the traffic police and administration have disowned the responsibility to regulate the traffic in the town.
The resident of the Mendhar have lodged complaints before the administration seeking end of mess but nothing has been done so far. Abdual Majied, a social worker, Advocate Nadeem Khan and Imran Khan said that the administration has disowned its responsibility. "Shortage of parking spaces, rampant illegal parking with indifferent traffic management have converted the city into major traffic bottlenecks", they said, adding that and the present situation of parking in Mendhar exposes the functioning the administration towards its services. |
