Legal Metrology realizes Rs 20,000 fine from defaulters 11/24/2014 11:45:13 PM Early Times Report Poonch, Nov 24: A team of officials from Legal Metrology department Poonch under the supervision of Assistant Controller, KewalKrishan, conducted surprise raids at various trade establishments of Ajaote, Chakan-da-bagh, Digwar and adjoining area of Poonch. Inspector Legal Metrology, Pritam Singh, booked several traders indulged in several anti-consumer practices like use of un-re-verified Weight and Measure Instruments whereas under rules ivory weighing and measuring machines/instruments required periodic re-verification from the concerned office. The Assistant Controller compounded several cases on spot and realized a total sum of Rs 15000/- as composition money.
