| VRS employees stage protest against SRTC | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 24 : All J&K SRTC Volunteer Retired Employees Association on Monday held protest demonstration in front of Press Club, against state government and SRTC for not clearing their pending dues.
Addressing the protesters, President, Dev Raj Bali alleged that VRS employees had been harassed by these authorities for the last five years and their families badly suffered. "Some VRS employees died in the period as they could not afford the finance for their treatment," he said and adding, it comes over knowledge that after VRS the Jammu and Kashmir SRTC have been also required new employees and if they were need of employees why employees have been given the VRS on the assumption that there is surplus staff. He also said that it was clearly shown that employees had been sidelined have been for their vested interest. They appealed to central government to please unmarked the special package only for their clearance of dues of VRS and GHS employees of the state. |
