2 houses gutted in Kishtwar, people rue PDD negligence

Kishtwar, Dec 3: In a devastating fire incident last midnight, two houses reduced to ashes in Kewa village of Tehsil Bhunzwah in Kishtwar district.
As per the details available with "Early Times" the house belongs to BasantLal son of Saab Ram resident of KewaBhunzwah caught fire due to short circuit which engulfed the adjacent house owned by his son Dulat Raj. Over all three families were residing in these two houses including that of Mul Raj also son of BasantLal.
While talking to "Early Times", the local people informed that the cause of the fire is short circuit, added that the electricity lines in the village are hanging with trees and houses.
They said that these electricity lines including HT wires are threatening the life and property of the poor people which is evident from this latest fire incident. The people urge upon the administration and PDD officials to maintain the transmission lines in the village.
The people also rue the poor road connectivity, added that due to poor road connectivity the fire tender vehicles fail to reach the village on time. They also demanded opening of fire service department in Bhunzwah area so that such incidents could be prevented in future. After hearing about the news of tragic fire incident, officials of administration as well as police rush to the spot and launched rescue operation, but could prevented the loss to property. Police has also register case and started investigation.
