6 months on, over 20000 SSA teachers without salary | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Dec 3: Over 20000 SarvSikshaAbiyan (SSA) teachers posted in various parts of the state are without salaries since last more than six months causing lot of inconvenience to them in running day to day affairs. While talking to " Early times" several SSA employees said that despite approaching several quarters including Director SSA, concerned ministers and several top rank officials in government, the government fails to release their salaries. They said that several protest were also held at district as well as state level, but government turns blind eye towards the issue. They said that due to non payment of monthly salaries, the SSA employees are facing lot of inconvenience to run day to day family affairs. They said that many among them were force to do Labour work to run family affairs. "When ever government required man power for any kind of departmental work including election work--- SSA and education department were forced to work like slaves--- but as far as release of monthly wages is concerned, government approach is causal" said Manzoor Ahmed. He said that SSA employees plays important role in first two phases of state election, added that government should consider early release of pending wages of all SSA employees. Several other SSA employees also share their problems with "Early Times" and made an appeal for early release of pending wages. |
