| BSNL promotes promiscuity, waywardness | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Dec 3: "Mai Hu Tanha, Mujse Baat Karne k Liye kijiye Dial 50007511 Rs 5 per minute! Kyahainladkiyon k raaz?Abb Khulenge Yahan. Dial 50007222 Rs 2/min (Dial from mob only) Sender (no name) BP -650007."(SIC).
Another message reads: "Dil ki baat juban pay laye. Dial kare 5432188, banaye haseen dost. Kare apne dil ki sari baatein. Dar kis baat ka.Sirf Rs 3 me abhi call kare." Another so-called service message merits special mention here. "Title Aaj Koi Bhi Hot Video dekho.Address :wap.59000.in/maverid/nh.jsp?code=OTESNDESM DA5NJQ4." Yet another message reads: Khubsurat din khubsuratratein, kijiye hums kisi bhi waqt, Dil Khol Kar Rangeen Baetein. Dial 5432188 at Rs 3/Mn." Similar words are uttered by pimps in red- light areas of major cities in India.
These are the messages that people receive on their BSNL Post Paid Sims. The messages are being circulated for quite some time now and, according to sources in the BSNL some boys have been `entangled' in the `honey trap'.
The sources said that the BSNL intends to earn some quick bucks by promoting promiscuity and waywardness. "In fact , the BSNL acts like a pimp," said Siraj-ud-Din Advocate.
Noted social worker and poet Zareef Ahmad Zareef sees a conspiracy in circulation of such indecent messages.
"They want to pollute the minds of our boys and girls for a purpose," he said.
Zareef is critical of the role of Cultural Academy. "This body is meant for preserving our culture but is virtually doing nothing to counter the cultural onslaught," he said.
Pertinently Mirwaiz Umer Farooq has repeatedly shown his concern over `growing' waywardness.
The Dukhtaran-e-millat Chief, Asiya Andrabi launched a campaign against cabin system in internet cafes and restaurants. She was booked along with her associates for it. She strongly opposes celebration of Valentine's Day.
All efforts to contact BSNL authorities went in vain. |
