Army Captain goes 'missing' mysteriously | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 3: An Army captain had allegedly gone 'missing' from General Bus Stand here while the police have registered a complaint and started the investigations. "Army Captain Chetanya, on November 8, had called to his family from Bus Stand here and thereafter he went missing," police sources here today said. They said that the officer was hailing from Maharashtra and was presently posted at Poonch district of Jammu region. "As per reports, he had a private quarter at Nagrota and on the fateful night he hired a taxi to reach bus stand but went missing after he last time called up his family," police sources added quoting family members. Meanwhile the family members when failed to establish contact with the 'missing' officer, reached Jammu and lodged a complaint with the police. "We have registered the complaint on December 1 on family's request and launched the manhunt to trace him out," police added. Pertinent to mention that Captain Chetnaya had also been in the media limelight in 2008 when his wife Captain Megha committed suicide and he was arrested in abetment case and was later bailed out. |
