Jammu, Dec 3: University of Jammu (JU) shall be playing against Shimla University in the quarterfinals of the ongoing All India Vice Chancellor's Cup Twenty20 Tournament hosted by Mumbai University on December five. Winning all four league engagements, JU topped in group-C. Earlier, in the last league match, played this afternoon, JU trounced Pahuri University by 45 runs, reports reaching here informed. Batting first, JU set a target of 188 runs for seven wickets. Raj Kumar (35), Rajesh (33), Niranjan (27), Daud (23), Vishal (21), Noor (21) and Akash (15) were top scorers. From Ruhari University, Rathour and Nilesh were most successful bowlers with three and two wickets respectively. In reply, Pahuri University could not reach the required total and completed their quota of overs for 142 runs losing eight wickets. Anil and Nilesh were main contributors to the total with 41 and 24 runs respectively. From JU, Daud Iqbal took three wickets and Pawan bagged two. Later, for his all-round performance, Daud was named man of the match.
