Cultural events, educational seminar concludes

Bhadarwah, Dec 3 : To promote everlasting peace and prosperity in the Chenab Valley, the Rashtriya Rifles located at Bhadarwah under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) in close coordination with Bhadarwah Campus, University of Jammu successfully concluded three days Cultural Events and Educational Seminar (Youth Festival) 'SANGAM' at Bhadarwah Campus, University of Jammu under Operation Sadhbhavana.
The Closing Ceremony of the mega event renowned in presence of Chief Guest, General Officer Commanding, Counter Insurgency Force (Delta).
A large number of Civil and Military dignitaries including Civil Administration, Police Department, CRPF, Prominent Citizens of Bhadarwah, Principals & Teachers of Colleges/Schools.
The event also witnessed participation of approximately 400 students and teachers from 08 Colleges including Bhadarwah Campus, University of Jammu, IslamiaFaridia College, Kishtwar, Government Degree Colleges of Bhadarwah, Doda, Kisthwar, Kilotran, Marwah and Chhatru and 08 Schools of Bhadarwah including 02 Government Higher Secondary Schools and 06 Private Schools.The mega event "SANGAM" was inaugurated by Professor R D Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Jammu University on December 1, 2014 in presence of a large number of Civil and Military dignitaries and Principals, teachers and students from participating colleges/Schools. Students from local schools showcased their skills in dancing and singing on the day of Opening Ceremony of the event.
During the Closing Ceremony the Commanding Officer, Rashtriya Rifles located at Bhadarwah in his address highlighted the aspect of return of normalcy in the region which was evident from the enthusiastic participation of the students from various colleges including the girl students.
The General Officer Commanding, Counter Insurgency Force (Delta), who was the Chief Guest in his address stressed on empowerment of youth and the role, the Army can play in achieving the same. He assured the local populace of continued and unconditional support in shaping the future of the students through many opportunities by Army.
