| Mehboob Beig kicks off poll campaign for PDP Patron in Anantnag | | | Early Times Report
ANANTNAG, Dec 3 : Weeks after quitting National Conference, former parliamentarian and senior National Conference leader Dr Mehboob Beig has now formally kicked off poll campaign for Peoples Democratic Party Chief Mufti Mohammad Syeed in Anantnag.
Sources close to Beig revealed that the former NC veteran leader, since from past days is actively organizing meetings of workers at his residence in Sarnal Anantnag urging them to support PDP Patron. They said that after long spell of time Mehboob Beig prefers to stay at ancestral residence in Anantnag. "He (Mehboob Beig) is stationed these days at his residence in SarnalAnantnag and is conveying meetings of workers with great enthusiasm and is urging them to support Mufti Mohammad Syeed besides urging them to reach out to people."
They added.
Several activists of MehboobBeig have opted social media for circulating and publicizing the daily meetings with the users and are openly appealing people to vote and support PDP Chief in Anantnag assembly Segment.
"Now-a-days we are organizing meetings of Workers but in coming days Dr Mehboob Beig will intensify its poll campaign for PDP and will launch door to door campaign for Mufti," an activist close to rebel NC leader claimed.
On November 16, Dr Mehboob Beig- son of Mirza Mohmmad Afzal Beig one of the founding member of the National conference announced that he will launch door to door campaign for Mufti Mohammad Syed and refused to contest from Anantnag Assembly segment, while accusing National Conference of committing irregularities and wrongdoings in job recruitments.
However, The National Conference rebutted the allegations, saying Beig was demanding a cabinet birth after losing Parliament Elections held earlier in this year.
Later National Conference fielded Iftikar Ahmad Misgar-District Youth President of the party from Anantnag against PDP's Mufti Mohmmad Syed and left the contest one-sided. Sources revealed that MehboobBeig has pinned hope with Peoples Democratic Party for political rehabilitation.
