Jammu, Dec 3: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Jawan who was among 14 killed in Naxal Attack at Sukma of Chatt-isgarh was today cremated at his native place with full honours in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir. As per official sources, Two CRPF jawans of J&K were also killed in the attack in Chhattisgarh who were presently deployed with 223 Battalion of CRPF and were posted in Sukma area of Chattisgarh. "The deceased have been Identified as Rakesh Kumar, son of TarsemLal, resident of village Salah, Swankha, Vijaypur, District Samba and another jawan Mohammad Shafi Bhat, son of Mehr-ajuddin Bhat, resident of Buran, Pattan, Kashmir was also killed in the same Naxal attack. IG CRPF, Jammu Region Kuldeep Dhar, local MLA Surjit Singh Slathia, DC Samba Mubarak Singh and SSP Samba Anil Magotra and large number of locals participated in the last rites ceremony of the martyred cop. Earlier the senior CRPF officials laid the wreaths to pay their tributes to the martyred jawan.Soon after the body of the mart-yred cop Rakesh Kumar who was killed in naxal attack reached at Jammu Airport it was taken to his native village where the funeral was performed with full honours. |
