J&K Bank convenes DLRC meet

Srinagar, Jan 1: J&K Bank inaugurated an ATM at the district office in Bandipora district of north Kashmir. Besides, the bank conducted various entrepreneurship and literacy programmes in remote areas in Jammu region. A district level review committee meeting was also held in Budgam.
District Development Commissioner Bandipora Dr. Shah Faisal inaugurated the teller machine in presence of ADC Bandipora Nazir Ahmad Baba, Bank's Zonal Head Kashmir (North) M S Kaboo, Cluster Head (II) North, Head BU T P Bandipora, Director RSETI Bandipora, LDM Bandipora, Facilitator FLCC Bandipora and other district officers.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC Bandipora thanked the bank for fulfilling the long pending demand of the employees of the district office in general and that of people of the area in general.
Zonal Head M S Kaboo reiterated Bank's commitment to provide world class banking facilities to the public and assured that the bank will leave no stone unturned to provide the best services to the general public.
The Bank convened 50th District Level Review Committee meeting of district Budgam, which was chaired by Additional DDC Budgam Mohd Hussain. Chief Planning Officer Budgam, representatives from RBI, NABARD, Bank Coordinators and Representatives from Line Departments participated in the meeting.
The bank's Lead District Manager Budgam, Shahzad Hussain briefed the House about the achievements made by banks besides holding awareness Camps opening of accounts under PMJDY in the District. The Banks have achieved Current Deposit Ratio of 78.68% in the District in the quarter ended September, 2014 and disbursed an amount of Rs 232.97 Crores (Priority+Non Priority) against the target of Rs 487.95 during the quarter, out of which under Priority Sector Rs 188.01 Crores have been disbursed against the target of Rs 365.72 Crores earmarked for the financial year 2014-15 thereby achieving 51.40% in the Sector."
