Division on communal basis not to be tolerated: Parihar | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Jan 1: Vishwashanti a NGO, various social Activists, prominent citizens today discuss the alarming political situation in the state in which the meeting was convened under the chairmanship of LMS Parihar the state head of NGO. While briefing the activists Parihar showed his great concern towards the political instability in the state where no political party got the clear majority and the state is heading towards a hung assembly. "It was a great misfortune for the people of this state that the political parties which were cursing each other before elections are now trying to join hands with each other once again which is totally against the public wishes", he said. Moreover the present mandate has clearly divided the three regions of the state and proved that the three can't live longer anymore as per geographic conditions and the everlasting indiscrimination in the hands of Kashmiri leadership. "No doubt the percentage of voters was higher than any other parties but still the communal hatred against the central government sown by the valley centric leaders created a big gap among the three regions of the state", he said. Lambasted the views of former chief minister of state Ghulam Nabi Azad for communalizing the atmosphere in the state by saying that Hindu chief minister will not be accepted in the state. Azad has forgotten that he lives in a secular country where No Hindu has ever raised questions for making a Muslim a head of state or head of any department then how he dared to create a ridge between Hindus and Muslims of this state. Parihar even advised that those talking about secularism should first know the meaning and depth of word secularism and should quit this double standard approach, one in this state and another in New Delhi. They threatened that the ball was lying with the PDP's court and it was only up to them either to forget its own valley based agenda or to develop the state by a fair and strong government which would come under expectations of all the people of the whole state. |
