| NSF stages protest against VC of JU | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 1 : Seeking intervention of Chancellor NN Vohra, National Secular Forum (NSF) staged protest demonstration against the Vice Chancellor of Jammu University and demanded one-man one post for officials in Jammu University.
Speaking on the occasion, President Qayoom Malik said that most of the university professors and officials had been holding various posts in varsity due to which the scholar's research and study of postgraduate students were suffering. He also said that it was very surprising that few professors have holding around four key positions of varsity in-spite of clear directions of Chancellor of University of Jammu NN Vohra but the varsity administration decree fall on deaf ears.
"There are more than half a dozen officers in Jammu University, who have been holding multiple posts for the last more than two years, but the administration has deliberately turned a blind eye towards the matter", he claimed.
He further said that some other professor of JU had been occupied more than two or more key posts. "We fail to understand that how a person occupying more than one post delivers justice with the administration as well as the students," he maintained and said that there were several officers in the varsity, who were given no responsibility.
They appealed Chancellor NN Vohra to direct Vice Chancellor Jammu University for one-man one post otherwise NSF would start agitation within three day . |
