Border residents protest against Pakistan as Rangers breach truce | | | Early Times Report
Hiranagar, Jan 1 : Angered over recent cross border firing from Pakistan, People hailing from Bobiya and other adjoining villages border areas today held massive protest against Pakistani torched effigies of Pakistan. While shouting slogans against Pakistan, they alleged that government has adopted a flawed approach towards their suffering and making their life tough. Pak Rangers resorted to firing during last night along International Border at Hiranagar and Samba Sector creating panic along border villages. The people in border villages yet have not reconciled from the horrifying memories of the displacement from their houses during the worst ever shelling and firing from Pakistan during October 2014 resulting into migration of over 33000 souls from border villages. Munish Singh, Prem Singh and Tara Chand lamented that people are not alowed to perform routine agricultural practice in wake of pakistan firing which has affected their livelihood and live stocks. They also sought permanent respite from this crisis appealed to government to redress their demands at earliest. |
