| Certificates, stipend distributed under SJSRY programme | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Apr 29: SDM Basohli S Gurmukh Singh today distributed certificate and stipend among 42 beneficiaries under skill development training programme sponsored under SJSRY scheme in Electrican trade, one year Diploma in Information Technology & six months computer course at Basholi.
The said programme was organized by District Urban Development Agency (DUDA) Kathua in which a large number of local and eminent citizens were also present.
Speaking on this occasion SDM Basohli S Gurmukh Singh highlighted importance of Skill Development Training Programmes through which unemployed youths can generate self employment ventures. He also spoke on the importance of various scheme being implemented by District Urban Development Agency Kathua.
In his address Project Officer District urban Development Agency (DUDA) Kathua Jaffar Abass told that all training expenditure was borne by the agency during the programme apart from providing training, certificates and stipend to establish their units. He further said that District urban Development Agency Kathua has organized various such skill development programmes in the district from time to time so that youth can also avail the benefit of various facilities. He exhorted educated youth to come forward to start their own income generating units. He also highlighted the centrally sponsored scheme Rajiv Rinn Yojna (RRY) House for the needy and Poor which provides financial assistance/home loan to economically weaker section(EWS) income up to 1.00 lakh and lower income group(LIG) income up to 2.00 lakh in a urban areas for acquisition/ construction of houses to such beneficiary. |
