Jammu, Apr 29: In a core committee meeting of Kashmiri Pandit conference (KPC) at New Delhi today, its Chief Kundan Kashmiri out rightly rejected and expressed great resentment over centers' proposed plan to rehabilitate internally Displaced Kashmiri Pandits. As per press release, KPC leader said the plan is against their wishes in much hyped, less viable composite culture including in three--four mixed townships in Kashmir valley, where half of 2500 flats in each township to be reserved for Kashmiri Muslims. He stated that return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri pandits in the valley is debatable preposition needs to be taken very seriously after taking view of ground realities in Kashmir valley as well as political demands of Hurriyat and so-called mainstream political parties like, N C and PDP, which are the basic factors responsible for creating unrest in the valley from the decades together. He further said that need of the hour is to take care of the fact that Kashmir belongs more importantly to Kashmiri pandits, who are its aborigines, hence have fundamental and constitutional right to live at " land of Kashyap" together as a community as per their choice where they wish to live as true citizen of india. |
