| CC&I expresses gratitude for supporting Jammu bandh | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 29: Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CC&I)expressed gratitude all its members, Traders, Industrialists, Transporters, common masses and political parties for extending full support on April 24 to call of Jammu Bandh and for keeping the atmosphere peaceful without causing any inconvenience to the general public. In a statement issued here, it was due to non-serious attitude of the government and turning deaf ears to the genuine demands put forth by the CC&I and also the genuine demands of Jammu region which include delay in completion of the sanctioned projects like ISBT at Bus Stand, Development of Mubarak Mandi Complex, Gandola and artificial lake. It stated that the other demands included sanctioning of AIIMS at Jammu and also sanctioning of the construction of Fly over at BC Road which was shelved because of the political reasons and also exemption of passenger vehicles from paying toll at Bantalab Nagrota. CC&I decided to form an umbrella of civil society which shall include eminent and people of integrity from all walks of life and various trade, industry/transport associations, social organizations and also include non-political student union. The Chamber of Commerce & Industry invites all those who want to join this umbrella 'Fight For Jammu' which we feel shall be final battle for our fundamental rights. CC&I shall be left with no option but to ask its members to stop paying all sorts of taxes to the government in the near future. The Chamber also appreciates the visit made by the delegation of BJP MLA's / MP's to New Delhi to pursue the demands of the Jammu region. |
