| JMC launches "Make Jammu clean" drive | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 29: A sanitation drive "Make Jammu clean" has been launched today by Kavinder Gupta Speaker J&K State legislative Assembly from Channi Himmat Housing Colony ward no, 50 in presence of Commissioner, Health Officer., MVO and other officers and officials of Jammu Municipal Corporation.
Among others the Ex -Municipal Corporator and prominent citizens of Channi Himmat, Housing Colony were also present on the occasion. While speaking on the occasion Kavinder Gupta has appreciated the initiative taken by the Corporation regarding the sanitation drive and fogging. He said that fogging will also keep a check on mosquitoes and other insects which can be a source of some deadly diseases. A roaster schedule for whole of the city is prepared and Commissioner and other officers/officials would inspect the sanitation of various wards as per the schedule which starts from 05.05.2015 and so on . All the men & machinery would be passed into service to achieve the optimum results during the drives. CTO section of JMC will clear all the nallahas and deep drains and get all the silt & garbage removed well in time. A thermal fogging to bring down the larval and adult density of vector mosquitoes has also been finalized for whole of the city which will start from 01.05.2015 from ward no. 1,2 & 3 and so on. |
