| Dr Wanchoo appointed as Judge for National Level Science Exhibition | | | | Jammu, Apr 29 : Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi has appointed Dr. S. K. Wanchoo, Assistant Professor, School of Physics and Director I/c School of Innovation and Community Development, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University as Judge for their National Level Science Exhibition 2015. The exhibition was recently held at Gurgaon in which students from all over India competed and displayed their innovative projects in several subject categories.Dr. Wanchoo was a part of a panel of 13 judges who had been appointed to judge the projects for this year. He has played an active role in building scientific temper and science promotion among the young students. He is already associated with the Initiative for Research and Innovation in Science (IRIS) a flagship programe of Department of Science and Technology, GOI - Intel - CII as a member of SSRC at the National Level. He has also been evaluator for the 21st and 22nd National Children Science Congress organized by NCSTC Division of Department of Science and Technology, GOI at Bhopal and Bangalore in the years 2013 and 2014 respectively. He has also been organizing the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) Science Internship Camps since the April 2010 in the State through which over 2300 students from all over the State have got benefited and have been mentored by eminent scientists from all over India. |
