Early Times Report

Udhampur, Apr 29 : JKPCC chief Ghulam Ahmed Mir on Wednesday critiqued the Narendra Modi-led Central government on a range of issue concerning Jammu and Kashmir. Terming the Centre as anti-farmers and anti-poor with policies to please corporate sector in the country, Mir said that the NDA government has failed the people of the state. "BJP led NDA government headed by Narendra Modi has failed to deliver on any single promise during its rule and it has been pursuing anti-farmers and anti-poor policies to please the big corporate sector in the country", he said while addressing a workers convention here. The tall claims and poll promises by BJP were only to hoodwink the poor people for vote bank politics but the falsehood of the government stands exposed, he said.
The Congress leader made the "wrong policies and the failure of the Centre to take timely initiatives" responsible for the numerous farmer suicide cases in the country. Mir also hit out at Modi over his "failure" in bringing back the black money stashed away in foreign banks. "He said during the elections that the money would benefit every citizen to the tune of over fifteen lakh rupees, but even after more than eleven months, nothing has happened," he said. The Jammu and Kashmir Pradash Congress Committee (JKPCC) chief pointed out that the hollow slogans aimed at misleading the masses were made in the state on various issues including settlement of refugees from West PAK and POK, settlement of border residents in safer zones, relief and rehabilitation of flood and rain affected people, enhancement of cash relief and rehabilitation of Kashmiri migrants, reservation of assembly seats for POK refugees and Kashmiri migrants besides abrogation of Article 370 among others. "BJP threw its vision document in the dustbin to enter in the corridors of power at the cost of emotions and exploitation of electorate" he said.

The leader also said that Prime Minister Modi brought disrespect to the nation by his indecent remarks about the domestic politics of the country abroad.
