8 months on, JKSSB fails to declare selection list of 6 ATO posts | Govt Fast Track Recruitment claims deflated | | Bijay Charak

Jammu, Nov 12: State Fast Track Recruitment Agency, The Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) has virtually failed to publish selection list for six posts of Assistant Tourist Officer (ATO) despite 8 months lapse the interview of said posts was conducted. Aspirants for posts of ATO pleading anonymity told Early Times that state government has invited six posts through SSB in 2012 in which thousands of candidates had applied for same posts. "It is very astoundingly after inviting application for said posts the board has taken three years time to formulate the syllabus for conducting written test", they said, adding that at that time they hope that the state fast track recruitment agency has conduct their written test within months but surprising after formulate syllabus the board has taken another two years to conducted written test. Finally, in beginning of 2016 the board announced result and selected 38 candidates for interview which was held on April 2016 but so far JKSSB not publish the final Selection lists of six ATO posts. "At present the employees working in Tourism industry have no professional qualification due to which the state has failed to made good plan toward the promotion of tourism across the state", they said, adding that the tourist visiting ratio would be decline day by day without claims government as well as department seems not interested to promote tourism. It is pertinent to mention that at present state has 28 Tourism Development Authorities (TDA), Tourism Department and one Tourism Development Corporation has so far been constituted by state government decades back. "In minded to run tourism department smoothly, previous government had created such posts of Assistant Tourist Officer but the lackadaisical approach of JKSSB higher ups couple of years lapse they have failed to fill six posts of tourism department", another aspirants said. When contacted JKSSB, Chairman, Sarita Chauhan, she accepted, said that unrest in Kashmir only reason to delay in release of selection list because no work was done in Kashmir office. She further said that we have started now and hope that within month the selection list would be released of those candidates whose interview was conducted already. |
