Jammu, Nov 10: The authorities of Jammu University have crossed all limits of shame, as they are now cornering competent people to adjust blackmailers and hooligans.
According to sources, the JU authorities are patronizing tainted officials by cornering competent ones.
"The JU authorities blame others for the issues cropping up in the varsity. But those who raise voice over the prevailing mess and wrongdoings in the campus are often cornered," said sources.
They said the JU administration does so because it wants to divert the attention of public from the main issues-maladministration and anti-student approach.
Sources revealed that the people who don't fulfill the requisite eligibility occupy several top-notch posts. "There are three persons who have filed petitions against the JU and are ironically occupying the top administrative positions in the same institutions," sources maintained.
"It is an irony that an officer of the university had challenged the order wherein he was demoted as he had been promoted up in the order in illegal manner.
The decision with respect to demotion was approved by the University Council, but the officer challenged the order in the court.
The matter is sub-judice. Strangely, the JU administration has now posted the same person on the position from where he was thrown out, hence negating the case which university is fighting in the court," sources explained.
Furthermore, there are two officers who filed petition against the university and hence blackmailed their own institution for personal gains. They brokered a deal under which it was agreed that both of them would not pursue their petitions if positions of their choice were granted to them, sources revealed.
Also, there is an officer who committed financial fraud by claiming remuneration for two duties at a single instance. The file pertaining to the fraud is lying with the administration but no decision has been taken so far. "This proves the hypocrisy of the university authorities vis-à-vis alleged black-mailers inside the campus holding Varsity to ransom for their vested interest," said sources.
A faculty member of DDE who also committed fraud by marking attendance on duty register during the leave period is also being shielded by the JU authorities . "The fraud of faculty member is established but why no action is being taken against her is strange," sources added. |
