Two babies found abandoned in last two days | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 12: In sharp contrast to the special bondage of 'mother and child'- and much hyped Beti Bachao- Beti Padhao campaign, the Jammu police have found two babies including a female baby abandoned in Jammu city in last two days. Police said that a newly born female baby was found abandoned from Parade locality which was noticed by some passersby and after getting the information police reached the spot and shifted the baby to the Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh (SMGS) Hospital Jammu. "The baby has been admitted in the NICU ward, police said. "Meanwhile, a three months old male baby was found abandoned in the corridor of Ward 14 of the SMGS Hospital Jammu on Friday, police added. Sources said that the male baby had already gone through a surgery as he had stitch marks on his body. Police said that separate cases have been registered with concerned police while CCTV footage of the SMGS Hospital Jammu is being scrutinized to ascertain the identity the persons who had abandoned the baby in the hospital ward.
