Jammu, Nov 12: On the instructions of Manmohan Singh (KAS) Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation Jammu and under the supervision of R.S. Jamwal (KAS) Joint Commissioner (Administration), the Enforcement staff conducted an exclusive drive for the removal of hoardings, signboards, billboards and banners which had been displayed / erected upon public places for advertisement unauthorizedly.
During the drive the team removed the hoardings, sign boards, banners etc from the public places / poles which were installed / displayed by various business establishments, institutions, agencies, firms etc without permission in different areas under the jurisdiction of Jammu Municipal Corporation and seized 2 truckloads of such material and impounded it to the Municipal Yard at Town Hall, Jammu.
All the firms / agencies are hereby asked to remove the hoardings / sign boards / banners from the public places / poles to avoid penal action under law. |
