"My wife was admitted to the hospital on June 6 and the surgery was performed after the conduct of requisite tests," he added. She felt severe pain after the operation, but when the doctor was called, he said the the patient was fine and there was no need to worry about. However, when her condition deteriorated, the family shifted her to the Government Medical College and Hospital, where ECG and CT scan tests were done. The doctor later told them that the patient had developed severe infection. However, before the treatment could start, she died of bleeding, Mulk Raj claimed. Though he complained to the health director, the latter took no action in the case. Copies of the complaint were sent to the chief minister, health secretary, DGP, IGP and SSP, but they too were alleged to maintained silence over the matter, he said.
