Rajasthan based women drug peddler held with 11 kg Ganja | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 12: In continuation to the operation 'Sanjeevni', drive against drug peddlers launched by SSP Jammu, Sunil Gupta, Gangyal police today arrested two Rajasthan based women drug peddlers alongwith 11 kgs of Ganja which was recovered from their possession during a naka checking at Gangyal. "The accused have been identified as Kamli alias Cheena and Roopa alias Reena both residents of Bikanair Rajasthan presently staying at Qasim Nagar Narwal, police spokesperson said. "On specific information a special naka was laid at KC Colony near CRPF Camp," police said, further adding, "the police team halted two women who were going on foot towards Gangyal Chowk carrying two black coloured bags." "On search of bags of the two women, police team recovered 11kgs of Ganja from their possession," police said, adding that both the women drug peddlers were arrested on the spot and the contraband was seized. Accordingly a case under FIR no 128 u/s 8/20 NDPS stands registered at Police Station Gangyal and further investigation is this regard is on. "The whole operation was supervised by SHO Gangyal Inspector Aijaz Wani and SDPO City South Jammu Sachin Gupta under the directions of SP South Sahzad Salaria, police added. |
