Sharma seeks citizenship rights for families of terrorists, forgets WPRs; BJP in slumber
Rehabilitating Anti-nationals

Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 22: The central government's representative Dineshwar Sharma seems to have developed a soft corner for the families of the terrorists who have returned from Pakistan occupied Kashmir. Sharma has reportedly moved a proposal to seek citizenship rights for the families of these terrorists who returned to Kashmir illegally during the past few years.
It may be recalled that Sharma is seeking citizenship rights for the families of those terrorists who crossed over to Pakistan occupied Kashmir in nineties to seek the armed training and wage a war against India. "The ruling Peoples Democratic Party is believed to have played a major role to convince the interlocutor to grant citizenship rights to the families of terrorists, who stayed back in PoK and other parts of Pakistan for more than 20-years," sources said.
An analyst said, "It's unfortunate that J&K government and the Interlocutor are pleading the cases of terrorist families and are keen to rehabilitate them."
He said, "On the other hand the West Pakistan Refugees (WPRs) who have been living in Jammu since 1947 have not been provided the citizenship of Jammu and Kashmir till date."
"The PDP is pleading the cause of the people in Kashmir region but BJP has made no effort to highlight the plight of WPRs who have been seeking the citizenship rights for the past seventy years," he added.
An observer said, "When BJP was in the Opposition it used to claim that when it comes into power it would fight for the rights of WPRs and would ensure that they get the citizenship rights."
He said, "After assuming power the BJP has totally forgotten about WPRs and rarely talks about granting citizenship rights to them. If PDP can convince the Interlocutor to grant citizenship rights to the families of the terrorists who have returned from PoK then why cannot BJP seeks the citizenship rights for the WPRs despite having its own government in Centre."
He said, "WPRs have time and again proved their loyalty towards the country. Despite facing all the odds they have always maintained that they love India. On the other hand the terrorists who had crossed the border to propagate the cause of Pakistan in Kashmir are being treated as class-I citizens and efforts are being made to rehabilitate them. This is sheer injustice and another blatant example of discrimination with the Jammu region."
A politician said, "It's high time for BJP to wake up from the deep slumber. The party needs to wake up and fight for the rights of WPRs."
