Poonch, July 15: "Anda Sheerni bante mud mud kar de apnu ko". This is how some officials behave in Poonch.
In Poonch there is a division of segments (caste and Creed) in government officials too. According to the locals, people of Dhara, Fatehpur and Moharban said that "the employee including AEE, JE, Supervisor civil, supervisor mechanical of PHE department belong to the same segment/caste who are providing water to a separate mohalla of their own segment for last three months.
Locals said , "Dhara-Fatehpur water lift scheme which has been completed in departmental record " having six stages namely Base/bore Marnote, Thandi Bani, Fatehpur lower, Moharban, Fatehpur upper and Danna Dhakran out of which two stations Thandi Bani and Fatehpur lower were functional upto April this year and now months after deploying of recent officials other than supervisor civil wing the Fatehpur lower station has been kept behind the walls. Locals allegedly said, AEE and JE has given the charge of supervisor mechanical wing to an influential daily wager worker who is also belongs to their segment.
Locals informed that, even though they have approached to Executive Engineer PHE and former deputy commissioner Poonch too, but all in vain, as Executive Engineer has no control over his stuff.
Locals have appealed to governor N N Vohra and newly appointed deputy commissioner Poonch Rahul Yadav to intervene into the matter. |
