BJP leaders asked to take directions from RSS
Confusion prevails over Govt formation
7/16/2018 12:09:21 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, July 15: As confusion continues to prevail upon Bhartiya Janta Party over attempts of Government formation in Jammu and Kashmir with rebel MLAs of PDP, the high command is learnt to have directed the party legislators and leaders to remain in touch with the senior RSS functionaries for further directions.
According to the sources in BJP, all the party leaders, including Legislators, have been unofficially directed to take directions from the RSS functionaries with regard to their further course of action in case there is any confusion with regards to relations with PDP or attempts of Government formation.
The direction was necessitated in view of contradictory signals emanating from the high command, which has been denying attempts of Government formations but encouraging the rebels at the same time thus clearly indicating that something was cooking up between BJP and the PDP dissidents.
After Ram Madhav, another senior BJP leader Avinash Rai Khanna also ruled out attempts of Government formation with PDP dissidents and termed the reports in this connection as mere speculations. Earlier, the party high command also reprimanded former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta for his purported statement on attempts of Government formation. However, when Mehbooba Mufti remarked that attempts of splitting PDP would give rise to more Salah-ud-Din and Yasin Malik, the BJP high command asked the party cadre in Jammu to register strong protests against the same Mehbooba, who was Chief Minister of the coalition Government in the State.
As some BJP leaders sought clarification from the party high command over their further course of action in view of the contradictory directions, sources said that the former were asked to consult RSS functionaries in case of any confusion.
While elaborating, sources claimed that except Amit Shah and Narinder Modi, the BJP high command also has no clarity over the J&K strategy and hence the responsibility was shifted to RSS for further queries from the State unit leadership.
