Jammu, July 15: General Secretary of Shiv Sena Bala Thackeray Manish Sahni welcomed the decision of Governor N N Vohra for conducting the Panchayat elections soon and decision on direct elections of Sarpanch by the people.
He said that this decision will restore the original position of J&K panchayati Raj Act. While addressing the media person jointly Sahni further said on the eve of Birth Anniversary on July 27 of National President Uddhav Saheb Thackeray the Shivsena unit of J&K has been directed by High command and Co-coordinator of North India Viney Shulka to launch member ship drive. It was decided about more than one lakh members have to be enrolled to strength the party at grass root level in J&K.
It was further decided under the guidance of State President of J&K the Shivsena unit will file their candidates for local body and panchayat election of its own.
He said all the Shivsanik's are very enthusiastic for participating the coming elections. Other Sr Leader Sandeep Bhagat and Rakesh Gupta demanded to the Governor that assembly should be dissolved immediately and assembly election should be held as early as possible.
On this occasion dozens of youths including Vikas Kohli, Askshit Talwar, Avinash Kumar, Vikas Bhatia, Shivani Kohli, Rajan Singh with others join the hands with Shivsena. Sr Leader G I Singh and Rajan Gupta welcomed the youths. On this occasion Sr. Leaders Rajeev Bhandari, Vikas Bakshi and many others were also present. |
