| One held with sharp edged weapon | | |

Jammu, July 23: RS Pura police today claimed to have arrested a notorious criminal and recovered a sharp-edged weapon from his possession.
Police identified him as Jatinder Kumar of village Satriyan and was on his way to conduct a heinous crime when he was arrested.
Police spokesman said that today police party of Police Station RS Pura headed by HC Rajinder Singh was on its routine patrolling under the jurisdiction of RS Pura police station.
"During patrolling, when police party reached near Satriyan Morh, RS Pura found one person in suspicious circumstances, who on seeing police tried to flee away from the spot", said spokesman adding that the patrolling party chased and apprehended him.
Spokesman further added that during his personal search, one sharp edged weapon (Khokhri) was recovered from his possession.
In this regard, a case under FIR No. 90/2018 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station RS Pura and further investigation of the case is going on.
The arrest and recovery was made with the strenuous efforts by police party under the supervision of Inspector Bishnesh Kumar-SHO RS Pura, DySP Sourabh Prasher- SDPO RS Pura and R C Kotwal-SP Hqrs. |
