JAMMU, July 23: Former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh called Advisor to Governor Khurshid Ahmed Ganai and took up the issues like famous Temple Shree Airwan Tirathstahan at Kathua which is famous for immersion of ashes by all strata of people and also the issue of famous Shiva temple of Dabwal Tehsil Kathua.
He told that the property of the Shiva temple has been grabbed by the local land mafia including an owner of Brick Kiln Amit Gupta son of Bhushan Gupta. The Brick Kiln has destroyed the landscape of the entire area, the paddy crop, fruit trees including the human beings are suffering from the continuous smoke coming from the Brick kiln is the cause of ailments for humans as well as animals this all happening due to the connivance of revenue and forest officials. The people demand the closure of this Brick Kiln and an enquiry that How Amit Gupta has purchased the property of Khadi Village Industries Board ( KVIB),Kathua which was started at village Jandore and revenue Tehsildar who have been posted their have allowed this serious violation of revenue laws.
He also took up other issue of Brick Kiln at Sakta Chak at Tehsil Kathua People of the area demands closure of more than half dozen brick kiln in the vicinity of two kilometers in village Chak Sakta Tehsil Kathua and are a source of great pollution in the entire area. The poor people are unable to fight the case against the land mafia operating in the area the Dabwal Shiva Temple cas was lying in the Divisional Commissioner office , Jammu for the last five years.
He also discussed vital issue of border people from Lakhanpur to Kupwara.
