Srinagar, July 23: As many as 257 police personnel were promoted to the next level in the valley, a police spokesperson said. He said that a Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) met under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir Zone Swayam Prakash Pani-IPS, for promotion of Selection Grande (SG) Constable to the rank of Head Constables of Executive wing of J&K Police having lien and seniority with Kashmir Zone.
He said a total number of 232 SG Constables have been brought on promotion list-C 2018 for their promotion to the rank of Head Constables. In addition, he said 25 promotion cases in different ranks have also been cleared in the special DPC. |
